These simple checks solve many common Windows game problems and only take a few minutes.

Pool Cats will not start

  1. Restart Steam and your PC.
  2. In Steam, open Properties → Installed Files → Verify integrity of game files.
  3. Update your graphics driver and temporarily disable third-party overlays.

Controller is not responding

  1. Connect the controller before launching the game.
  2. Disconnect extra controllers or remapping devices.
  3. Open the game’s Steam controller settings and try enabling or disabling Steam Input.

Low performance or visual issues

  1. Lower the resolution or graphics quality in the game settings.
  2. Close recording tools, overlays, and other demanding applications.
  3. Update Windows and your graphics driver, then restart the game.
